2.    Invoices and Payments

Unless otherwise agreed invoices for pool support will be submitted for payment at the end of each financial quarter. In general customers who are not French resident are required to pre-pay for pool support work. An estimate will be provided on request and any actual variation when the work is carried out will be adjusted on future invoices.

Payment is required within 14 days from the date of invoice submission. An increase of 5% will be applied for each month (or part thereof) after this period.

3.    Warranties and Guarantees

It is the responsibility of the customer to register any material purchased on their behalf for the respective warranty and guarantee period. No responsibility is assumed by myself if the customer fails to do so. All guarantees should be addressed to the original supplier.

 4.   On-line investigation and problem troubleshooting

All background work (on-line or physical) required to provide requested customer support will be charged at my basic rate irrespective of whether the work is carried out on-site or at my office. Where equipment is tested or repaired at my premises my basic rate will be charged for the time required.

5.     Limitation of Service

The support of your pool is limited to the actual swimming pool and fittings which include electrical control systems, filters and pumps. It does not include items used around the pool such as tables, chairs, umbrellas or tiling. While it is my goal to repair and/or maintain all equipment associated with your pool, I cannot guarantee that this will always be the case and it may be necessary to obtain support from an expert or original manufacturer in some cases.

6.    Limits of Pre-Paid Pool Coverage

Where pool support is provided on a pre-paid basis (generally for clients not residing in France), unless otherwise agreed in writing such support is limited to the provision of chemicals for normal adjustments of pool chemistry (chlorine level, pH level and alkalinity), cleaning the pool (using customer provided equipment – I do NOT provide this equipment unless rented – see rates above) and physical pool attendance to carry our these services.

Any other work required (examples – rectification of plumbing leaks or pump replacement) will be invoiced in addition to the pre-paid amount. Such rectification work will be agreed with the client before the work is carried out.

7.    Call-Outs by Rental Tenants

Where property is rented (either long-term or short term), and tenants request a call-out visit, the visit will be charged at the “Current Rates” shown above to the property owner. It is not my responsibility to obtain payment directly from the tenant/visitor. It is the decision of the owner whether to provide my contact details to the tenant, but if they do so they assume all responsibility for associated call-out costs.

 8.    Legal Responsibility

While I am happy to advise on your legal responsibilities associated with your pool installation (barriers, alarms, access, etc) it remains totally the responsibility of the pool owner to ensure that the installation meets all applicable laws and regulations. I assume no responsibility for any accidents or incidents related to the use of your pool or surroundings. Fines for not meeting regulations and laws are substantial and the possibility of a serious or fatal accident is real so I urge owners to ensure all barriers and safety equipment work and meet current regulations.
